Tax Accountant
Job Purpose
The Tax Accountant will be responsible for hands-on preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing strategic tax planning advice. This role requires knowledge of tax regulations in Canada and the US, with a willingness to learn about UK, EU, and Asia Pacific legislation. It involves managing regulatory and audit projects, coordinating with external partners and internal teams, and ensuring timely and accurate information delivery. The goal of the Tax Accountant is to minimize tax liabilities, identify potential tax issues, and improve compliance processes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CA or other relevant certification (or progress toward certification) is preferred.
- 2-3+ years of experience in tax preparation, analysis, or compliance, ideally within telecommunications.
- Detail-oriented, with organizational skills to handle simultaneous projects and ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Demonstrated critical thinking/problem-solving—able to assess when data must be precise and when estimates suffice.
